ORANGE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CHOICE Administrators, the parent organization of California’s first small business private health insurance exchange, has launched a new website that provides business owners and human resources (HR) managers with direct access to CaliforniaChoice’s small group health plan options. CaliforniaChoice provides businesses with 1-100 employees health insurance options from up to eight different carriers. At MyCalChoice.com, employers and HR staff can identify and contact a CaliforniaChoice broker in their area who can provide a quote and help their businesses compare CaliforniaChoice plans.

The MyCalChoice.com launch timing aligns well with the latest online user behavior data that shows more and more businesses and consumers are heading online to research health insurance coverage options. A recent Forrester research study showed that 60% of consumers visited an online resource during their path to purchasing health insurance. This was the highest percentage reported since the survey began in July 2012. An Accenture management consulting report estimated in that six million U.S. employees and their dependents enrolled in health plans through private insurance exchanges for 2015 employer benefits, which doubled the number from 2014. That report projected that by 2018 an estimated 40 million people will be a part of a private exchange.
