Nevada Health Insurance Exchange Gets New Director

Ryan High has been named the new director of the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange.

He has been the exchange’s chief operations officer since 2016, overseeing the exchange’s online marketplace, Nevada Health Link.

High has been the interim director since Heather Korbulic resigned in December and helped guide the exchange through its most recent open enrollment period, helping the exchange to sign up more than 100,000 people for affordable health insurance.

High was voted in unanimously by the exchange Board of Directors.

“Ryan’s long tenure with the exchange and zeal for decreasing Nevada’s uninsured population makes him an exemplary candidate for the executive director position,” said board chair Dr. Florence Jameson.

Gov. Steve Sisolak said High has shown great leadership, competence and a strong understanding of the goals of the exchange.
