HealtHIE Nevada, the statewide health information exchange (HIE) in Nevada, has partnered with RosettaHealth to accelerate and improve the connectivity of providers’ electronic health records. Under the partnership and effective immediately, HealtHIE Nevada utilizes RosettaHealth’s HealthBus solution as a “universal translator” of health data transport protocols.
This solution allows HealtHIE Nevada to more easily register new patients and provide health records to all providers, during and after any episode of care. For health care facilities, this technology allows them to easily share patient data and access the medical records contained in the HIE directly from within their own EHRs. This enhanced ability to retrieve patient data from HealtHIE Nevada is key in reducing physician burnout and streamlining use of the full patient-centric medical record contained in the HIE.
“This collaboration equates to a more seamless experience for providers as well as patients throughout the Silver State,” said Michael Gagnon, executive director of HealtHIE Nevada. “Thanks to our partnership with RosettaHealth, we’ll be able to improve access to patient data and expand our offerings. This includes the enhancement of patient-centered data home capabilities and the sharing of medical records for patients in need of care in-state and outside of Nevada.”
“HealtHIE Nevada is the prime example of a cutting-edge HIE that is leading the way when it comes to health data exchange,” said Buff Colchagoff, CEO of RosettaHealth. “We are very excited about helping the organization to further advance its mission of enhancing the quality of care and outcomes for patients in the State of Nevada.”
HealthBus is a SaaS-based solution that enables full HIE capabilities for sending and receiving all standardized exchange formats, such as IHE (push, query-retrieve), Health Level-7 (HL7) Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), direct messaging and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR). HealthBus offers real-time network analytics capabilities, which include detailed connection status as well as metrics and logs about each facility, feed or protocol.
HealtHIE Nevada currently partners with more than 70 organizations throughout the state, including physicians, hospitals, labs and other health care organizations. It continues to grow HIE participants, safely and securely managing clinical patient data. Patient encounters, medication information, medical images, test results and care summaries are delivered instantly, accurately and securely when and where they are needed, allowing professionals to focus on the patient at the point of care.
HealtHIE Nevada ultimately improves the quality of care delivered by reducing time spent searching for medical records, mitigating duplicate testing and facilitating better care coordination, which increases patient satisfaction and helps achieve better health outcomes.
